You know what seems to scare the heck out of people...I am not talking Freddy Kruger here, or snakes or hurricanes, I am talking about a confident woman,

Yep, you heard it here first, CONFIDENT WOMEN, they scare the you-know-what out of folks, not sure why in this day and age, but a woman who know who she is, what she wants, how she wants it and takes no prisoners is scary to many. And heaven forbid if she looks good...woo hoo...scary....oh no, she is also pretty nice...please get out the kryptonite...all jokes aside, when a woman is confident and sure and she makes choices because she wants to, not because she has to, that sets many up in arms, not sure why, but I am telling you it’s true...wonder why....Anyone know?

People are threatened by a confident woman, especially men. And what I despiiiise is when a woman is confident and knows what she wants, for example, Hilary, they say she's trying to act like a man! Ohhhhh, don't even get me going. :) thanks for the post.

jrrobi, You are absolutely correct, it's as though a woman can't be confident and know what she wants and STILL be happy she's a woman...we don't want to boys...just have a chance at the same toys...so to speak... angelia

Maybe it's because for years women have been the ones to hold their feelings, keep the kids quiet, and in general keep the backstage of life running while men put on the show and take all the credit.

Women who are confident not only show men that they can put on the show as well, but make the backstage managers start to think about what they would do if they dared to do what is unexpected of them simply because they have a vagina and breasts.

If a woman bumbles her way into something special we politely clap and say "oh, she earned it" knowing that she can easily be cow towed into doing what we want her to do because she always does. If a woman stands up for what she knows is right and masters the role all the while saying no to anything that gets in her way, well, she's a bitch and we wish her nothing but a fall from the high pedestal she's put herself up on.

Funny, the view from my pedestal has a lot of men around me on the same level.

Some people only want to believe women are weak, because of the emotions we feel all the time. But heaven forbids you see a woman who exudes confidence then she becomes a little more assertive in their eyes. And if you put assertiveness, confidence and emotions together you have a powerful woman, and that scares people. Guess that's why I don't have many friends.
