Caryn Day-Suarez

President/Owner of Promoting Outstanding, Writers and Artists (POW!), Jacksonville, FL

Words I live by: “Nulle Dies Sine Linea,” which is Latin for “Write Every Day!”

The most important thing I ever lost: My grandparents and my adopted son, Chad.

The world would be a better place if only: Men would just accept the fact that women should run the world.

If I could be totally wild, I would:  Take my bra off in the car and fling it out the
window on every bridge in Jacksonville...oh, I guess I did that already!

The worst idea I’ve ever had: Driving my ‘75 Firebird Trans Am on a frozen lake to do donuts in Indiana one winter...I took out three ice shacks before we fell through the ice.

One thing I never want to do again:  Have both breast and ovarian cancer. Been there, done that, and Amen I am still here!

I am most proud of: My three award-winning books and having met Oprah Winfrey.

What are you most vain about?  I don’t go anywhere without lipstick—I feel naked without it.

Something most people don’t know about me: I put myself through college being a dancer.

My family: My daughter, Lauryn (pictured below), three stepchildren, five grandchildren (eek!), my husband Tom (aka Scruffy) and my pommie, Bandit.

My work: I am a full-time publicist for over 150 members of my organization: authors, dancers, performers, musicians, singers, speakers, artists and more!  I also work full time at Orange Park Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist.

My hometown: Warsaw, Indiana (Where is it, you ask?)

Last major purchase: My 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I put my “POW GIRL” license plate on it.
